Žabljak is the highest town in the Balkans — a mountain resort at 1,450 metres in the heart of Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site of volcanic lakes, glacier-carved canyons, and peaks rising above 2,500 metres. The Tara River Canyon — the deepest in Europe at 1,300 metres, second deepest in the world — is accessible from Žabljak for rafting, zip-lining, and drone photography of a scale that simply does not exist elsewhere on the continent.
